English Language Reference Dictionaries works on specific areas such as Idioms, Linguistics,Proverbs, American Usage and Style, English Language, English Grammar, English Etymology, etc. Humanities Full Text Contains abstracts and citations to 400 English-language periodicals in the area of archeology, classical studies, art, performing arts, philosophy, history, music, linguistics, literature and religion.

Literature Online Contains English and American poetry, drama and prose, plus biographies, bibliographies, and key secondary sources. MLA Directory of Periodicals Contains over 4,400 periodicals in the area of literature, language, linguistics, and folkore.

MyiLibrary Provides access to over 4000 purchased ebooks on various subjects such as Education, Arts, Language and Literature, Music and Science. Naxos Spoken Word Library Consists of more than 1,000 hours of spoken word on classic novels, plays, poetry and non-fiction literature from medieval times to the 20th century. Texts on the literature are available on screen along with the spoken presentation.

Whatare the contents? • Searching databases (iv) NetLanguages It consists of two courses namely ‘Grammar Practice’ and ‘IELTS Exam Preparation’. ‘IELTS Exam Preparation’ contains a preparation course, writing test preparation, speaking test preparation and a practice test. Oxford Reference Contains over 200 dictionaries, language reference, and subject reference works published by Oxford University Press. It is a fully-indexed, cross-searchable database which covers subject such as: art, architecture, computing science, business, English language, general reference and quotations, nutrition, etc.Powerspeak Languages It offers courses in French, Mandarin, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Russian and ESL for Chinese and Spanish. Each language contains eight units introducing the user to the language through videos, stories, activities and games. Each unit has eight lessons focusing on vocabulary, grammar, culture and pronunciation.

With over 100 hours of interactive activities, advice videos from British Council experts, hints and tips on question types as well as downloadable practice tests, it is comprehensive, up-to-date and aimed precisely at the challenges candidates face (20 Concurrent users only) . South and Southeast Asian Literature It is a searchable collection of fiction and poetry written in English by authors from South and Southeast Asia and their Diasporas. Focusing on works composed during the late-colonial and postcolonial eras, the collection will also feature author interviews and manuscript materials that will shed additional light on the rich literary heritage and emerging traditions of this region. New content is uploaded on a biweekly basis.
