Jack continued And inside we walked Down a long cement path Past cages With all kinds of Dogs Big and small Fat and skinny Some of them Hiding in the corner But most of them Bark-bark-barking and jmping up Against the wire cage As we walked past As if thhey were saying Me! Me! Choose me! I’m the best one!

9-29-10 Objective: • I will apply new knowledge of sentence types in my writing. • HW: Write 8sentences using all the sentence types and including prepositional phrases. • Underline the prepositional phrases.
Practice: • With your group write a story using 5 singular possessive nouns, 5 plural possessive nouns, 10 prepositional phrases, 5 compound nouns, use all four sentence types, 5 proper nouns and 20 common nouns. • Write a rough draft first. • The final copy will be written on a piece of butcher paper to share today. • Your story must have a beginning, middle and end.
