  3. Calendar Event days are color coded to emphasize how many “normal” days are in a given school year. There are about 163 days of instruction. There are 89 weekend days. 51 days are lost due to holidays and events. • Teacher professional Days • Orientation • Exams • Holiday • Progress Check Point • Professional Dress Day • Saturday School

Monthly Breakdown • Blogs will introduce students to the technology being used • Journal writing will promote practice through questions with progressive difficulty levels. • Grab students’ interest from the very beginning with comic skit. • Understanding word relationships and analyze text structures

  9. Bolts • Oct 3rd Bolt 1- Prediction Game, Popcorn Game, read story aloud. • Oct 4th Bolt 2- Continue story if not finished discuss events • Oct 5th Bolt 3- Vocabulary. Use internet to define words and post into blog creating a sentence for each word. Complete word bank 1-8 pg 32

  10. Bolts • Oct 6th Bolt 4- Grammar assignment pg 768 context clues and pg 256 verb tenses (Grammar textbook) • Oct 7th Bolt 5- Homework review “Guide for Responding” pg 32 (literature textbook) and weekly vocabulary quiz
