Let’s start with ours! These women are not geeks. They are all wearing nail polish and respectable clothing. Now let’s look a little more closely. The white woman in the center seems to be giving advice to the black woman. The Asian woman seems to be staring off into space. Both power and racial issues show up in this image.
Find the geeks! women are wearing clothing that seems natural. Asian woman has Google glass instead of strange gaze. Black woman seems comfortable in mentoring role. White woman wearing stylish Nike bracelet. All geek stereotypes are represented — but who would you rather be?
