  1. GSECARS Update 13-BM-C Side Station Scientific programs is DAC diffraction and surface science Proposed partial funding as COMPRES Infrastructure Project. COMPRES could not fund, recommended submission to NSF-MRI Funded by MRI for $550K ($100K less than requested). Monochromator prototype being constructed Will order vertical mirror soon Large Newport diffractometer will be delivered in July, DOE funded.

  2. GSECARS Update 13-ID-D Laser Heated Diamond Anvil System • Complete rebuild of system • Monolithic table for increased stability • Laser upgrade with newb crystals to 80W per laser • New MAR-345 online image plate reader ordered

  3. GSECARS LVP Technical Developments • D-DIA with monochromatic diffraction • High-pressure tomography apparatus • High-pressure angle-dispersive powder diffraction using an energy-dispersive setup and a white source
