  3. PowerPoint • When choosing a style: • Do not choose colors and designs that will be hard to read such as neon colors, yellows, or light shades • Try not to have writing on top of colored background • The font should not be distracting and the size should be as large as possible

  4. PowerPoint • Information: • Only present IMPORTANT details • Do not copy and paste your paper into ppt • You should NEVER have paragraphs of writing • Keep your writing clear and concise

  5. PowerPoint • Multimedia • Images, movies, music, sound, and animation should support and improve your presentation NOT distract

  7. Other Presentation Options • Use the same principle for PowerPoint • REMEMBER: be creative but do not let it distract the viewer from what you are saying.

  8. Presentation Skills • Be Confident in what you are saying! • You know the information the best • Do not read from the board or from note cards • Referencing the board is OK • Good eye contact with the class • Project your voice so that all can hear • Make us want to know more about your topic
