Red Panda in India At the verge of extinction........
The adorably cute red panda Now an endangered species The adorably cute red panda, also known as cat bear and lesser panda, is largely herbivore and an endangered species. Thick fur on the soles offer protection from cold. The pelage is reddish – orange on the body with a long bushy tail. They are found in the Himalayan region, in parts of Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and in the Indian states of Sikkim, West Bengal, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh
We are responsible... • Habitat under severe threat due to deforestation.. • Adult red panda largely killed for their fur • They are caught in wild and kept as pets
I'm a good luck charm The tails of red panda are used as a good luck charm by some people. That is my bad luck
Our Initiatives.... The World Wildlife Federation, WWF-India is currently working to enumerate the status and distribution of red panda.
WWF is collecting data on distribution and to mitigate the threats to thespecies and its habitat
So lets join hands together And save it from extinction...
