  1. RCT Shift Report29 April, 2009 K. Grogg Next shifter: Marc Weinberg RCT shift report

  2. 18-crate pattern test problems • No new pattern tests run • Attempted on Friday after global run ended • GCT source cards were not accessible • Contacted GCT on-call, needed reset • Weren’t available before MWGR started • Known problems • EM: Crates 0, 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 9, 16, 17 -- card 6, region 0/1 sharing problem • EM: Crate 15, card 1, 3, 2, 4, 5, 6, has noniso 4 bit stuck low (came, went, came) (GCT) • Sums: Crate 15, card 1, region 0/1 -- 2 bit stuck low (GCT) • EM: Crate 4 -- 2 bit stuck low for all isolated electrons (GCT) RCT shift report

  3. DCS software status summary • Component upgraded to 4.0.1 on Friday • Small bug fixes • Caused brief offline periods and a couple alarms until checksums were updated (10:15-10:45) • Used RMC10 to test that the script behaves properly (11:50-12:20) • Offline periods during this time • Further offline periods for RMC1 and RMC3 occurred when reading their outage logs • These two RMCs had entries because of conflicts with COM port during installation • Causes RMC to go offline for < 1 second • Still needs investigation, possibly new script to test • Spare RMCs will be upgraded this week RCT shift report

  4. DCS Crate Summary • Crates have been stable all week • Offline periods during component installation and testing • Friday 10:15-10:45 and 11:50-12:20 • Crates turned off Monday from 8:55-9:15 while Pam swapped JSCs • vme5V, vme+12V LOW, vme-12V HIGH (FSM in ERROR) for  • Rack 3, Crates A&B • Rack 5, Crates A&B • Rack 9, Crate A • Rack 1, Crate B • Rack 4, Crate A  • Rack 7, Crate B • No unintentional problems, alerts, changes, etc. to the crates RCT shift report

  5. Shift phone • No shift phone calls this week RCT shift report

  6. Data quality monitoring • MWGR started last Wednesday morning • Following plots are for run 82499 • EEG_EHSUMS_TAU3_DECO_25_CRAFT1 • Algo bits 15, 17, 45 • Runs 82342 – 82387 with EEG_EHSUMS key have problem since ECAL timing was off (see Elog 55872) • All non-iso electrons are “red” • No useful information for electrons • Regions are ok • Runs 82499 - 825248 are good • All have similar results to run 82499 RCT shift report

  7. Nonisolated electron efficiencies =100% > 95% > 90% > 85% < 85% • Excellent agreement between data and emulator RCT shift report

  8. Nonisolated electron in/over efficiencies ~ 0% < 5% < 10% < 15% > 15% • Excellent agreement RCT shift report

  9. Region efficiencies =100% > 95% > 90% > 85% < 85% Zipper effect • Agreement ok, not perfect – see next slide for occupancies • Eta 13-15, Phi 12 = Crate 14, cards 2 & 4 • Broken GCT fiber? • Eta 11-12, Phi 9 = Crate 15, card 1 • Appears in pattern tests, the 2 bit is stuck low RCT shift report

  10. Region Occupancies • Occupancies (numbers) are slightly different • Most at the > 99% level • Needs more investigation RCT shift report

  11. Region in/over efficiencies ~0% < 5% < 10% < 15% > 15% Zipper effect • Agreement ok, not perfect • Eta 13-15, Phi 12 = Crate 14, cards 2 & 4 • Broken GCT fiber? • Eta 11-12, Phi 9 = Crate 15, card 1 • Appears in pattern tests, with 2 bit stuck low RCT shift report

  12. HF + tau bit efficiencies =100% ~ 0% > 95% < 5% > 90% < 10% > 85% < 15% < 85% > 15% • Excellent agreement • Except for Eta 13, Phi 12 = Crate 14, Card 2, Region 0 • GCT fiber? • Eta 17, Phi 5 = Crate 17, Card 6 • Over-eff…. RCT shift report
