  3. Favorite Poem: “Dew” By: Linus Suryadi AG, Indonesia Dew adorns the morning world Dew sets our senses shivering Dewdrops of thought and feeling The layer of dew upon the land Simmers beneath the silent sun Dewdrops drip like falling tears Dewdrops, the manifold plans of distant men Oh, how the heat and the dew of this world become the body’s steam and drops of sweat

  4. “The Squirrel” By: Saleem Barakat, Syria The first hazelnut trundles down from above. The second hazelnut, the third, the fourth, the fifth, and the sixth, trundle from above. The hazelnuts trundle down, nut by nut, to the ground beneath The dumb tree, the tree whose memory the squirrel collects Nut by nut, rolling it into his den. Each year a memory of hazelnuts rolls, nut by nut, into the den of the prince with the merry tail, and the tree forgets

  5. “The Moon Rises Slowly Over the Ocean” By: Xu De-min, China It is time We stand like children On the silent beach And calmly wait for the moon Nothing has been lost on the moon today A banana kazoo Sucked between the lips of night Is no longer blowing out of tune Crisscrossed boughs set up an easel The moon wearing a pure white sun cap Slowly comes over like a shy boy Holding a transparent nylon net With which to scavenge the ocean Of its many broken hearts Bobbing on the sea to the horizon

  6. “I have Ten legs” By: Anna Swir, Poland When I run I laugh with my legs When I run I swallow the world with my legs When I run I have ten legs. All of my legs Shout I exist Only when running

  7. My Poem “Thunder and Lightning” By: Allan Blenman, North Carolina Thunder roar and lightning howl, Flashes in the sky blinding all vision, obscuring All obstructions, twins of destruction Traveling across the world, extending from cloud to Sky connecting the two for a Second, a bond that transcends all space, and Exists even now after an eternity Thunder prowls while lightning strikes Quick as a cobra, bright as the sun, thunder Brings power, a power like that of a Monster, it is a monster, a monster cloaked in A shroud of pure light to brilliant to be Observed, lightning is speed too fast to be seen By the naked eye a flash is all that is seen, All it takes to strike, a snake made of light The two twins Thunder and Lightning Born of mother sky, dancing across her immense Body falling to the ground repeatedly, their Dance, a work of art in motion showing balance, Precision and grace. A chorus of sound Explodes, “crackle” “boom” a dance of two destructive Forces running reckless and relentless and free The sky and earth their playground

  8. End I hope you enjoyed the many poems of this collection. May you cherish them the way I cherished them and may they have touched your heart. Thank You!!
