History • Founded in Portland, OR by Paul and Marie Lamfrom in 1938 • Began as Columbia Hat Company now is one of the world's largest outerwear brands and the leading seller of skiwear in the United States • Named after the Columbia River • Today Columbia products are available through more than 13,000 retailers in 72 countries
