  1. Refrigerator Decommissioning: Next Steps for Measure Update March 18th, 2014

Measure Update Research Priorities • Staff, with subcommittee feedback, is researching if secondary market effects can be estimated using existing data. • Staff to assess compliance with guidelines as a UES measure. • Staff, with subcommittee feedback, will update measure parameters as necessary using latest research.

  3. Proposed Timeline (Communicated to Subcommittee): • March 14th - Subcommittee reconvenes to understand existing sources of data. Recommend path forward (Staff makes all necessary revisions to the measure) • Mid April - Subcommittee meets to review results of staff work. (Further subcommittee meetings on an as-needed basis. The subcommittee may also meet between March and April if required or if there is no need to wait further. • May RTF meeting: Presentation to the RTF; aim to get an RTF decision. • June RTF meeting (If Required): Second presentation to the RTF if necessary.

  4. New Refrigerator Decommissioning Studies Considered:

March 14th Subcommittee Meeting Update and Next Steps • Subcommittee agrees with staff proposed process to update the measure. • The next subcommittee meeting will primarily focus on determining the “brother-in-law” factor. • Staff to prepare a proposal for this factor in advance of the meeting. • Other measure parameters will be updated using similar methodology, latest regional datasets.
