  3. Gods and Goddesses There were over 2,000 names of Gods and Goddesses in ancient Egypt. Some Images of ancient Egyptian Gods and Goddesses Show them with a human body and the head of a bird or an animal. Animals were Chosen to represent the powers of God. Horus and Seth were enemies.   6. Horus Horus was the God of the sky. The Egyptians believed that the Pharoah was the living Horus. The Egyptian God, Horus had a head of a Falcon.
