  2. Did you know that Uranus is 31,800 miles wide? It is called a gas giant! Uranus atmosphere is 83% hydrogen and 15% helium. The average temperature on Uranus is -319 degrees Fahrenheit.

  3. Did you know Uranus distance from the sun is 1,780 million miles? Uranus takes 84 Earth years to revolve around the sun. It takes 840 Earth days for Uranus to rotate once on its axis.

  4. Uranus has at least 27 known moons. Five of these moons are larger than the rest.

  5. Uranus was discovered by John Flamsteed in 1690, and then William Herschel again in 1850. There are 11 rings around Uranus. In roman astronomy mythology Uranus was the lord of the skies and husband of Earth. He was also the King of Gods until his son, Saturn, over threw him.
