  3. Stem and Leaf Plots… • are charts for mean median mode and range. • First thing we need to do is order from least to greatest • Then using the number in the TENS place order vertically from least to greatest

  4. Things to remember… • Tens are the “stems” • Ones are the “leafs” *always include a key!

  5. Example 1 • As of 1997, the following are the ages, in chronological order, at which U.S. Presidents were inaugurated: 57, 61, 57, 57, 58, 57, 61, 54, 68, 51, 49, 64, 50, 48, 65, 52, 56, 46, 54, 49, 50 • List in order: Stem | Leafs | | |
