Sydney ● Sydney Metro — Among the various Sydney infrastructure projects is the Sydney Metro. Known to be the country’s biggest public transport project, it promises a world- class fast, reliable & safe transport system. 1. Target capacity of 40,000 customers per hour 2. 120–200 train services per hour entering the Sydney CBD beyond 2024 ● Liverpool Health & Academic Precinct — Another one of the many Sydney infrastructure projects, the precinct is expected to become a substantial health infrastructure for South Western Sydney residents. Once completed, it will include: 1. A brand new cancer centre; 2. an expanded emergency department; and 3. improved neonatal intensive care, maternity & critical care. ● Waterloo Estate Redevelopment — Communities Plus — This redevelopment project will create both new social housing & more affordable & private housing. Particularly, its Preferred Masterplan states the following: 1. Development of about 6,800 new homes; 2. new multi-purpose community facilities for social, cultural & healthcare use; and 3. three hectares of safe open spaces.
