Jefferson Middle School Priorities and Goals Aligned to TUSD Goals • Attain a minimum of 5% annual growth in student performance on the CST in English/Language Arts and 6.5% (GOAL: 100% proficient or above by 2014) • Sustain or surpass school wide API growth of 20 or more points, up from 799 to 819. • Use weekly PLC staff development time for the review, assessment, and improvement of curriculum, assessment and instruction • Revise and refine Intervention Program & the Learning Center to address the needs of students who need academic support • Implement a comprehensive Wellness Plan that meets the needs of all students • Provide challenging and enjoyable co- and extra-curricular programs to meet the social and emotional needs of our students

Bert Lynn Middle School Priorities and Goals Aligned with TUSD Goals • Attain a minimum of 5% annual growth in student performance on the CST in English/Language Arts and 5% annual growth in Mathematics. • Focus on Writing (Revisit AB-65 Test Format) • PLC Format- Content Alike, “At-risk,” GATE Focus & K-12 Learning Community Collaboration. • Provide students and staff with age appropriate strategies to effectively handle conflict, bullying, sexual harassment death and grief management. • Provide Increased On-line communication. • Offer opportunities for increased student involvement via clubs and extra-curricular activities to build student culture and school pride.
