  3. Position I am applying for an Assistant Principal position within the Stokes County School system. I look forward to working directly with the school principal to manage, direct, and coordinate all aspects within the school. Stokes County Schools not only make AYP each year, but last year they were ranked as one of the top 10 schools in the state by their AYP scores. I would like to be a part of Stokes County Schools because of their strong commitment to excellence while still offering a positive working environment within a rural setting.

  4. Objective To obtain an administrative position where my knowledge and experience will help in communicating the philosophy and goals of the school and meet the school’s educational objectives in an accurate, professional and ethical manner.

  5. Vision Statement I believe that through the power and excitement of creative and motivational educators, an intrinsic love of learning will be instilled in students. This love of learning can be carried throughout their lives. Through instruction, technology, differentiation, and community/parent involvement, the students will be molded into successful and contributing members of society. I would like to see every student learn to celebrate and accept diversity, to appreciate individual strengths and to discover that opportunities await them around every corner.

  6. Vision Statement cont’d As educators, we must instill into our students critical and creative thinking, teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills. These skills will enable our students to succeed in a constantly changing global society. I believe that school should be a place of excellence where children can achieve full potential in their academic, creative, personal, physical and moral development. Such a school will produce not only successful students , but leaders in a highly competitive 21st century. Qualifications/Skills • Promote collaborative problem solving and open communication among the staff • Collect, analyze and utilize data to identify school needs • Use data to identify and plan for needed changes in the instructional program • Implement and monitor the school improvement plan • Use systematic thinking on attaining student achievement goals

Qualifications/Skills • Provide staff develop that is relevant and useful for faculty • Possess the ability to recruit, select, train, supervise and evaluate staff • Promote the success of all students • Prepare and submit timely reports • Communicate with parents and community in a positive and outgoing manner that will encourage a positive perception of the school
