Topic Introduction • Topic: Life In Germany During World War II • At the beginning of the 1930’s, Adolf Hitler’s Nazi party exploited widespread and deep seated discontent in Germany to attract popular and political support. Germany had been in a crisis during 1929 . Hitler convinced the German citizens that the reason for there crisis going on was because of the Jews. • My oma, Mary Ann Cunningham, lived in Germany as a little girl. She remembers life when world war 2 was going on. She said she rememberdhiding in the basement whenever the planes came and invaded Germany. She also remembers getting the letter about her brother being killed in the war.

  6. Additional Information • In federal elections of 1930 the Nazi party won 107 seats in Reichstag becoming the second-largest party. • Hitler promised the people that he would make the nation of Germany better. • Hitler said to a journalist that the Nazi party would go for a thousand years.
