  1. The Ivory Trade Africa is home to the African Elephant. The biggest land mammal in the World. The African Elephant is under threat from poachers killing them for their ivory tusks. Your task is to write a newspaper article into this problem. Include: An introduction to the African Elephant, where and how it lives, and what makes it a special animal. An outline of the ivory trade, who kills the elephants and why? Who is buying the Ivory? What the countries who are home to the elephants are doing about this trade. What we, here in the UK, can do to help protect the elephants. Include pictures and maps to make your newspaper article more interesting. Don’t forget a catchy headline too!
