BUYER DAYS Two designated Buyer days for Expo Jamaica 2012:
RECRUITING LOCAL AND OVERSEAS BUYERS • Asubstantial cadre of international business entities / individuals - capable, willing and ready to do business with Jamaican companies. • To facilitate and advance linkages between local buyers and suppliers
BUYER UPDATE To date, we have 223 Registered Buyers:
PRE-SHOW INTERACTIONS • Etouches is a web-based suite of integrated event planning software tools that organizes, streamlines, implements and executes world-class events. • Exhibitors and Buyers are being asked to register on this system. • Business Matchmaking Meetings option scheduled to open in March 2012. • https://www.etouches.com/expojamaica2012
MEETING SCHEDULING JAMPRO will : • Provide you with a printout of your daily meeting schedule • Organise meeting areas / tables • Reschedule meetings on request (in advance) • Monitor and provide support where needed
INTERACTING WITH BUYERS BUSINESS MATCHMAKING MEETINGS • Ensure that you are on time for all confirmed meetings with Buyers. • Ensure that the relevant Company Representative / Decision Maker is present. • Document details from Buyer meetings, including: • Contact Details (Secure a business card) • Trade Leads • Product Sample Requests • Orders • Follow up activities *You may want to develop a Tradeshow Contact Sheet to capture all this information. • Make Buyers comfortable - include Meeting Areas in Booth to host discussions and be able to document information. • JAMPRO will issue a Meeting Summary sheet each morning, please document all your meetings with Buyers, including noting any trade leads to be followed up on.
POST EVENT FOLLOW UP • Email Buyers as soon as possible to summarise meeting discussions. • Follow through on all promises made: • Product Samples to be sent • Price Lists to be emailed • Product descriptions, etc. • Maintain contact with Buyers –DO NOT let leads go cold. • JAMPRO will assist you with follow up. • Feedback / Updates will be requested.
