  2. Contest Information and Rules • 60 multiple choice problems • 40 minute test • Calculators are permitted • Scratch paper permitted • Can write on the test • Answer sheet – capital letters only • Problems are NOT in any specific order UIL Mathematics Contest

  3. Contest Information and Rules • Scoring: +6 points for correct -2 points for incorrect 0 points for skipped • Grading and scoring rules are found in the 2019-2020 UIL Mathematics Handbook UIL Mathematics Contest

  4. Problems on the Test Basic Mathematics Algebra 1 Geometry Algebra 2 Trigonometry Analysis Basic Calculus Probability Misc. (my favorite section) UIL Mathematics Contest

  5. UIL Mathematics Contest Approved Calculators Contestants will be allowed the use of any commercially available silent hand-held calculators that do NOT require auxillary electric power and as long as they are NOT modified. Each student may bring one spare calculator. Small, hand-held computers are NOT permitted. MEMORY IS NOT CLEARED.
