  3. Thoughts from the UK Teacher Education Futures events We need: • Professional dialogue • To recognise opportunities • Decide the purpose of partnership • Realise that the core business of teacher education cannot be done in isolation, it has to outreach and relationships must be nurtured

  4. Thoughts from the UK Teacher Education Futures events We need: • Not to waste the richness of partnerships already formed • Decide what the characteristics of effective partnership are • Be proactive in forming partnerships

  5. Thoughts from the UK Teacher Education Futures events We need: • To consider whether partnerships can work if formally constituted or whether they require informal settings for greatest effect • Joined up thinking • ‘To have relationships which are collaborative rather than complementary’
