  2. War on Terror What is terrorism? What is a terrorist? a person, usually a member of a group, who uses or  advocates terrorism. a person who terrorizes or  frightens others. • Systematic use of violence to create a general climate of fear in a population and thereby to bring about a particular political objective.

  3. Military Oath • I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States and the State of (STATE NAME) against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the Governor of (STATE NAME) and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to law and regulations. So help me God.

  4. Terror Attacks on U.S. Soil • 1993 February 26: First World Trade Center bombing killed six and injured 1,000. The attack was carried out by radical Islamist Ramzi Yousef, a member of Al Qaeda. • 1995 April 19: Oklahoma City bombing: A truck bomb shattered a Federal Building in downtown Oklahoma City, killing 168 people-including children playing in the building's day care center. Domestic terrorists Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols were convicted in the bombing.
