CAT 2013 Duration • The total duration of CAT 2013 is 2 hours 20 minutes. • Each section has 70 minutes duration. After the first 70 minutes, the CAT Quantitative Ability section & Data Interpretation (QA & DI) will automatically get over and the computer screen will open the next section.
Tips to manage time for CAT 2013 • 0-10 minutes: Go through the questions and select the ones you want to attempt • 11-30 minutes: Attempt those questions which you are comfortable in.
31-40 minutes: These 10 minutes in between are for emergency arrangements. In case you find that the questions are taking too long to answer or those which appeared to be easy turned out to be tricky, you need to change the questions as well. • 41-60 minutes: Complete answering the questions which you have finally chosen. • 61-70 minutes: Review the questions and finalize the section
Maintaining Speed & Accuracy for CAT 2013 The need for speed is of utmost importance when it comes to CAT. As mentioned above, the CAT is time bound exam and hence you must speed up your performance accordingly.
Learn short tricks: In order to maintain both speed and accuracy, you must learn some short tricks which will ensure accuracy as well as a speedy solving of the questions. Practice to get proficiency over speed: Speed is something which you have to build through lot of practice. Otherwise even if you solve an answer correctly but take long time, it won’t fetch you the desired result.
