  4. 1. New building of Matica srpska • The first phase is financed by budgetary means • Construction lasts over 15 years and is intensified in 2006-2007. • Creation of a new unique spatial technological complex of the new building and existing structure

New building of Matica srpska • The goal of the project • General objective: • Modernisation of work of institutions in the field of culture in order to achieve European standards when providing services to beneficiaries of scientific and librarian data bases and funds. • Development of cooperation with international institutions in the field of culture • Specific objective: • Creation of a functional whole of the new and the old building

New building of Matica srpska Planned activities • Continuation of planned construction works within the first project phase and equipping the new building • Continuation of works on connecting old and new buildings • Commencement of works on adaptation of premises and repair of installations • Commencement of works on repairing the existent building that is classified as cultural monument

The Sirmium project • Covering of the site 1a Royal Palace, Sirmium in Sremska Mitrovica • To preserve and present archeological site of exceptional significance • Revitalization of this cultural good for its very survival • Prevention of further devastation of archeological remains and movable finds

The Vinča project • The importance of the Vinča site: • one of the biggest and certainly most comprehensive Serbian archeological project • multilayer finding that enables monitoring of continuity of cultural development through almost 8 millenniums • world known and acknowledged as a centre of a wide-spread Neolithic culture that got its name exactly by Vinča site.

Framwork of the Vinča project • Fulfillment of conditions for preservation set by UNESCO and in Framework Convention on the Value of Cultural Heritage for Society (Faro, 2005) • Project promotes safeguarding of cultural, historical and natural heritage as a basis for sustainable social and economic development of Serbia, region and Europe

The Vinča project Goals of the project • Permanent physical preservation of the site • Popularization of cultural heritage and development of cultural tourism • Raising awareness about the importance of cultural heritage, its preservation and use • Development and application of IT in archeology introduction of new methodologies in digital documentation of field research • Development of multidisciplinary approaches in archeological investigations • Publishing the results as a basis for scientific research • Permanent education of Serbian experts • Development of a local archeological school

The Vinča project Results of the Project • Creating of a new archeological park that would present a significant innovation in cultural and touristy offer in Belgrade • Creating of an international archeological centre that would implement scientific, educational, creative and amusement programmes • Permanent exhibition on the site • Internet portail • Animation programmes (Secrets of the Earth where archeological ecavations are performed live in front of visitors, animation programmes for children)

The Vinča project Planned activities • Systematic investigations of White Hill in Vinča, • Performing analyses, systematization of results and entry of data in data bases; • Study and interpretation of field documentation • Educational activities: international summer school, programme for introduction of archeology into elementary schools and high schools by organizing courses for teachers and professors • museum presentation, decoration of land art plateau in Vinča; creation of new exhibitions on the Vinča site • making of archeological parc in Vinča • creation of Internet portail for Vinča culture; • creation of 3 D reconstructions of Vinča settlements, as well as modeling of the most significant finds; • Experimental archeological workshops (reconstructions); • Creation of a Geographical informational system for the Vinča coastal area • Raising level of touristy offer (access ramp, fence, protective roof for in situ exibitions)

  19. 4. The Restoration of structure Schloss in Golubinci • The village of Golubinci is one of the most well-preserved rural areas of lower Srem. • Evident opportunities for social cohesion and development based on heritage • Schloss: Former administrative military building

The Restoration of structure Schloss in Golubinci The goal of the Project: • Integration of the cultural good into the life of local community The results of the Project: • Survival of the structure • Defining of a space for new projects and contents of life for local community as a centre for the recently established eco-museum and an attractive meeting point for future multilayer presentation and offer of this rural community The planned activities • Construction and fine construction works on the renewal of interior and exterior of the structure, equipping the structure and fixing the problem of underground waters in basement

Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra • Audio equipment for studio • There is not an adequate studio nor adequate equipment for recording of symphonic music in Serbia • Reaching mid-term goals set by MIC: improvement of programmatic and spatiall conditions for activities in the field of contemporary production and cultural industry

BFO - Audio studio The goals of the Project • Enable and support development of infrastructure • Free circulation of artistic works and cultural products, i.e. production and distribution of digital content • Safeguarding and preservation of audio heritage • Augmentation of circulation of all audiovisual productions

BFO-Audio studio The results of the Project • Quality recordings of the compositions of contemporary musical authors and works of classical symphonic music, film and TV music and ethno music • Conditions for safeguarding rich musical heritage but also for permanent development and education of the taste of the audience. • Raising the level of home music production and better representation abroad • Creating of adequate audio editions of home authors and performers • Costs for home authors and performers woulddecrease significantly because of shorter periods for realization of the projects

Museum of Science and Technology • Reconstruction of the building located in Belgrade`s centre that is in very poor condition The goals of the Project • Creating of conditions for permanent lodging of technical cultural goods • To perform activities such as: • research • registering • compiling • protecting and • presenting technical cultural goods in the territory of the whole Republic

Museum of Science and Technology Expected results • Museum is to become a regional centre for science and technology • Valuable educational institution for numerous schools in Serbia and for Serbian universities • Better communication with the audience and beneficiaries and with foreign institutions • programme of high quality

Museum of Science and Technology Planned activities • Finishing the preliminary design of the project and the main project, finishing the preparatory works and commencement main works: • Reconstruction of the existent main building that comprises • repairs of construction • roof repair • repair of the façade • renovating the interior for the permanent exhibition

Development project Bač • The project is realized on the territory of municipality of Bač where a valuable and rare multicultural heritage site is located (3 cultural goods of exceptional importance: fortress that dates from the Middle Ages – 14th century and multilayer archeological site, Franciscan convent -12 century and Serbian monastery of Boćani-15 century)

Development project Bač The goals of the Project • Making of a model for appreciation of cultural heritage through research, conservation and management of heritage • Development of partner networks and network of associates especially among young people as a prerequisite for its sustainability and ultimately self sustainability • To offer to expert public and broader public uncultivated and unprotected heritage through a subproject of a diffused museum with stations in the entire municipality i.e. in monuments which are the foundations of the project.

Development project Bač The results of the Project • The medieval fortress with a bailey fulfills conditions for performing educational programmes and becomes a part of the cultural offer. • The monastery Boćani and the Franciscan convent protected from humidity • Establishment of a diffused museum with previous registering, conservation and presentation of the exhibits. • Contribution to development of conservation studies in Serbia through research projects in cooperation with universities both in the country and abroad • An efficient local management system and executive network

Development project Bač Planned activities • Systematic archeological excavations, scientific research diagnostic for historical material, ethnological and architectural investigation of the bailey • To bring back water reflection surfaces in the moats around the fortress so as to renew the historical landscape and to introduce other necessary facilitates for tourism development • The first step in the settlement revitalization is establishing a centre for nurturing tradition in one of the houses.

SUPPLYING NECESSARY EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTION AND PRESENTATION OF MUSEUM COLLECTION • The territory of the Middle Polimlje (the municipality of Prijepolje) has borders with the Republic of Montenegro and Bosnia and Hercegovina. • The collection of the Prijepolje museum is one of the most valuable museum collections in Serbia. Its stocks contain Roman archaeological finds, medieval archaeological and historical material, ethnological material from XIX - XX century with extraordinary collections which elaborate the entire life and customs of Serbs and Moslem Bosniaks

SUPPLYING NECESSARY EQUIPMENT FOR PROTECTION AND PRESENTATION OF MUSEUM COLLECTION • Because of the lack of necessary equipment • museum collection is unprotected and in the state of decay • museum exhibits can not be presented • Equipment needed: showcases for storeroom, still safes, cases, still strong-boxes for numismatic and little archaeological finds, metal drawers, the equipment for storing artistic goods, roll strong-boxes, equipment for conservation workshop: vacuum table, conservation tub and other necessary equipment
