  2. Getting Started! -Not sure my skill level would be sufficient -Concerned about being the right “fit” -Excited about the contribution I could make -Nervous -Anxious -Excited

  3. Agency Context -Small Organization (staff of 8) -Big role in community -Serves the entire State -Data Collection -Interpreting Data -Policy defined by HUD requirements

  4. Ethical Issues -No room for error -Data and reports constantly monitored -Small office -No reports or incidents Ethics anyone?

  5. Supervisory Relationship -Ability to work on my own -Trust in my abilities -Strong relationships with employees -Independence -No micromanaging -Communication

  6. Integrative Processing Model Reflective -Difficulty staying on top of work -Time management issues -Each day was better then the previous day -Strong effort in every task given

  7. Communication -Scheduling -Phone Assessments -Worked primarily with office staff -Community meetings -Prefer one on one communication -Build trust -Personal Working with Individuals

  8. Cultural Competencies -Lack of diversity in office -Similar culture with clients -Open minded staff -Language greatest barrier for staff

  9. Professional Writing & Reporting -Reviewed Data -Suggested improvements via Staff Meetings -Worked with clients via phone -No Professional Writing -Attended Community Meetings

  10. What About Me?! -Prayer -Positive attitude -Adapting to change -Relaxing activities -Juggling multiple courses -Balancing family -Full-time work -Lack of structure -Individuals with poor work ethic

  11. Ending My Internship BEST Intern ever! -Developed relationships within the community -Regret chance to work on Homeless Persons Bill of Rights -Knowledge of Community Management Information System (CMIS) -In-depth knowledge of Federal regulations

  12. My Career Short Term Goals -Land Director/ Supervisor role -Gain experience in the field Long Term Goals -Continue Education (J.D.) -Open nonprofit organization
