What is Cerebral Palsy? • Cerebral palsy is one of the neurological disorders • It appears in baby’s or early childhood • It forever affects body movement and muscle coordination. • It doesn’t get worse over time.
..Symptoms of Cerebral Palsy.. • Late movements such as rolling over, sitting without support, crawling, or walking. • Nerve of reflexes, which normally disappear 3-6 months after. • Muscles may be very stiff (spastic) or unusually relaxed and floppy. • Limbs may be held in unusual or awkward positions. • Spasticleg muscles may cause legs to cross in a scissor-like position.
How to prevent Cerebral Palsy • Do not smoke cigarettes while pregnant. • Do not drink alcohol while pregnant. • Do not use illegal drugs while pregnant. • If a woman has enough folic acid in her body before she is pregnant, it can help prevent cerebral palsy.
