What is CEF? • Unique ministry opportunity • A savings and investment program for church members &congregations • A partnership between investors & congregations • Investors earn a competitive rate of interest while providing affordable loans to congregations, Lutheran Schools and other ministry entities to extend God’s Kingdom

  4. What types of investments are available with CEF? • Long and short-term investments • Savings (including K.I.D.S. Stamps) • 1 – 5 year terms • Registered Investments* • RRSP • RRIF • TFSA *through ABC District Investments Ltd.

  5. Investments for Kids • K.I.D.S. stamp program is an exciting way for children to learn about saving money • Children purchase stamps for 25¢ or $1 from each Sunday from a K.I.D.S. Coordinator • Stamps are collected, saved in a stamp book and when full mailed to CEF and deposited into a savings account

  6. How Does CEF Help My Congregation? • Loans for ABC District congregations, schools and other ministry entities at affordable interest rates. • Your church can borrow to expand, purchase land, or maintain property. • CEF partners with your congregation and expands God’s kingdom

Is My CEF Investment Safe? • CEF investments are not insured bank deposit accounts. • Invested funds are loaned to ABC District congregations, schools and ministry entities and are secured by mortgages on their property, as well as personal property securities. • In its entire history, since 1921, CEF has never failed to honor a withdrawal request ... no investor has ever lost a cent in CEF.

  13. Other Features of CEF • Electronic Fund Transfers (one time, monthly, etc.) available for deposits and withdrawals • Interest earned on investments can be compounded, paid out monthly or annually • Spiritually responsible investing…think about it!
