  3. King Philip’s War • Time:1675.6.20 ~ 1676.8 • Metacomet=Philip (colonists called him) • Cause:American Indians were desperate to retain their LANDS!! So the war began~

  4. Damage • 1200 houses were ruined • 600 English colonials were dead • 3000 American Indians were killed  Lost the war!!

  5. Mary Rowlandson c. 1636~1711

  6. Rowlandson’s Life • 1636 – was born • 1656 – married Joseph Rowlandson • 1676.2.20 – was captured by American Indians • 1676.5.2 – was released • 1677 – moved to Wethersfield • 1711 – passed away
