This training aims to decrease HIV vulnerability among women in Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam by increasing knowledge and autonomy in prevention and management. Conducted by experts from NGO "Asie Horizon 2020" and partners, the training covers topics such as infection risks, screening, co-infections, and stigma reduction. The project also aims to expand training to other cities and involve justice and police sectors.

CONTEXT of the INTERVENTION (1) • In Southeast Asia, HIV incidence is declining, but the number of people living with HIV remains relalively hight.

CONTEXT of the INTERVENTION (2) • Women and girls are very vulnerable to HIV/AIDS • because. in particular. they: • identify incorrectly situations at risk; • are unfamiliar with means of prevention; • are averse to testing; • access healthcare facilities with delay.
OBJECTIVE OF THE INTERVENTION In Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Viet Nam to decrease the vulnerability of women and girls to HIV/AIDS. in increasing their knowledge and developing their autonomy. to prevent infection and to better fight against the disease.
ORIGIN and THEMES of the TRAINING On request Women Unions and Municipal Departments of Health in the 4 countries. experts from the NGO “Asie Horizon 2020”. in partnership with their Asian counterparts. conducted training seminars on two themes: • “Being a woman HIV-negative and remain it" (2012) ; • “Being a woman HIV-positive and living with it” (2014).
Theme 1 "being HIV-negative and remain it" infection and illness ways of contamination risks identification screening (consent and confidentiality) violence and human rights access to the justice system Theme 2 "Being HIV-positive and living with it" announcement of HIV infection fighting discrimination and stigmatization maintenance of professional and social rights recognition and screening of co-infections treatment observance lifestyle and entourage attitude prevention of secondary transmission. METHODS (2)ORGANISATION OF THE SEMINARS In each of the 8 selected cities: • Selection of 30 female participants from the medical and social sectors; • Participation in the 2 seminars (3 days each) corresponding to the 2 themes managed by experts according to an interactive pedagogy; • Assessment by pre and post-tests.
METHODS (3) At the end of seminars 250 trained women in charge of transmitting messages to associations members women who. in turn. disseminated them to the female population of urban and rural communities.

2018 - 2020 PROJECT • Location of training to other cities of the same countries • Contribution of experts from justice and police sector to the training • Improvement of the monitoring of training in community associations • Assessment of the impact of the messages in the communities.
