  3. Oklahoma Grant $ - 2012 $600 million for 2012 • PUIs – 14% • PhDs – 86% However, PUIs enroll 73% students

  24. SUMMARY • Despite the weak economy, grants are increasing in all sectors • Grant competition is increasing • New initiatives will be presented by the new presidential administration • Oklahoma, a low producer in grantsmanship, is improving steadily

Keep telling the story; it’s a greatstory! • Oklahoma has had a +25% in degrees conferred over 5 years, when enrollment levels are +8% • For every $1 invested in higher education, Oklahoma receives $5+ back • For every $1 invested in grantsmanship, Oklahoma receives $1 million back! We ARE improving our grantsmanship

  26. What does it mean? We are improving quality instead of simply focusing on access. Results: • Better degrees • Stronger economy • Graduates to fill jobs • Higher per capita income in our state • Leaders for the 21st century
