Date of a great inventor: July 17, 1920 Gordon Gould • Date of death: September 16, 2005 • The laser pointer is used for work and to show plays in a game of foot ball. • The laser made the smart bomb and compact disks and much more. • People piggy backed off of his idea of a laser and made other stuff.

  3. College • His college was the union and he went to Yale. • Before he got in college he wanted to help make an atom bomb in world war two. • His college was for engineering and once he was out of college he was eager to create a visible beam of light called the laser.

  4. Interesting facts • He finished the laser 30 years after he started. • He was a mechanical engineer in the army. • He was the original creator of the laser.
