  2. Agenda Welcome and introductions. Legislative update and discussion of the Accountable Capitalism Act. Building a data base of benefit corporations. Providing assistant to companies interested in taking the B Impact Assessment. Participation of in-house counsel. Collaboration by the BCBA and B Academics Group with law schools. Collaboration by the BCBA and B Academics Group on marketing. Planning for the BCBA 2019 Annual Meeting in the format of a full-day symposium.

Welcome and Introductions • Benefit Company Bar Association, Moderators – Bill Clark, President, and Elizabeth Babson, Executive Director • Mission - The Benefit Company Bar Association is comprised of lawyers who advise benefit corporations and other forms of business organizations that have as part of their purposes creating positive benefits for society and the environment. The association seeks to share the knowledge and experience of its members, to educate other lawyers and the public at large, and to promote the concept of doing business in a responsible and sustainable manner. • B Academics, Moderator - Mark Starik, Ph.D., President, Always Be Sustaining (Chair, Partnership Working Group) • Mission - The Global B Corp Academic Community (B Academics) is a network of over 300 educators and researchers from around the world who are committed to accelerating the sustainable business movement by studying the global movement of B Corporation certification and benefit corporations. B Academics work with each other, the global B Lab network, and the B Corp community to share best practices and identify opportunities for collaboration with regard to research, teaching, and experiential learning.
