  2. Temperature • The temperature in the taiga is over 50°F. • In some taigas it is very cold. • Some temperatures in the taiga are hard to survive in. • Some temperatures are to cold to survive in.

  3. Climate • Very cold winters • Cool summers • A bit icy • Rainy • Snowy • Isn’t much sunshine

  4. Precipitation • It gets little sunshine • It is rainy • Taiga gets lots of snow

  5. Landforms • The taiga can be rocky • The taiga has mountains • The taiga has grasslands

  6. Differences • The Taiga might sound like it is like the Tundra. • The main difference in the Taiga and the Tundra is in the Tundra all of the soil is frozen and it is called permafrost. • In the Taiga it snows but there is still normal soil for plants

  7. Continent The Taiga can be found in North America & Asia.

  8. Problems in the Taiga • The Taiga has air pollution • The taiga has oil spills • Taiga has litter

  10. Red Fox • A red fox is common in north America • Red foxes are found throughout Alaska • In North America ,There are five species of foxes exist.

  11. Lynx • Lynxes eat small mammals & birds • Lynxes are medium size wildcats • Lynxes have long legs & short tails & black tuffs of fur on their ear • Lynxes have thick fur & large Paws that act as snowshoes • An adult Lynx can weigh up to 22 to 44 pounds

  12. Black Bear • Black Bears eat meat & berries • They are scared of people but if you touch their cubs they charge • They migrate in the winter

  13. Bald Eagle • Bald Eagles can take down big game from foxes to wolf • Bald Eagles represent the U.S.A • A Bald Eagle can pick up at least 150pounds • The Bald Eagle is on the 25cent coin

  14. Grey wolf • Grey Wolves usually hunt in packs • They are in the dog family • They are really furious

  15. Plant Life • The Balsam fir has the most population of any other plant in the taiga • There is at least 50 types of plants in taiga • Most plants in taiga can’t survive
