  2. A. Low Level Cloud: C. Features: Grayish Clouds Fragmented and thin or can also form as a layer or sheet Resemble fog No precipitation but may drizzle

  3. D. Low Level Cloud: F. Features: Puffy like cotton Cauliflower Appearance Bright tops and dark base in color

  4. G. Low Level Cloud: I. Features: Dark gray- continuously falling rain or snow Light gray or white- continuous rain or showers

  5. Low level clouds:Stratus, Cumulus, and Nimbostratus Stratus – layer (like a blanket) Cumulus- heap, pile (like a puffy cottonball) NIMBOstratus- rain, precipitation

  6. J. Cloud: K. Features: Dark base Associated with lightning, thunder, and violent tornadoes Congested clouds that grow vertically Range from 1,000 feet to 39,000 feet

  7. L. Middle Level Cloud: O. Features: Gray, puffy masses Align in rows May be unstable and have thunderstorms by late afternoon

  8. P. Middle Level Cloud: S. Features: Gray or bluish-gray Flat smooth dark sheet Cover the entire sky An incoming storm is approaching

  9. Middle Level Clouds:Altocumulus, Altostratus ALTO- middle CUMULUS- heap ALTO- middle STRATUS- layer

  10. T. High Level Cloud: V. Feature: Brilliant white Wispy, feathery that is composed of ice crystals Fair to pleasant weather with light winds

  11. W. High Level Cloud: Z. Features: Brilliant white thin, sheet-like high clouds cover the entire sky More widespread than Cirrus clouds Can develop on days with light winds but increasing in strength

  12. AA. High Level Cloud: DD. Features: small, rounded white puffs Brilliant white Lined up as rows of clouds No precipitation associated with fine weather
