NATO Response Force Imperative: - Contractors fill Host Nation Support gaps in-theatre - Balance logistics support to achieve the best effect - A high readiness force requires high readiness contractors support • NAMSA’s role: • - Integral part of NRF logistics (planning, exercises & operations) • - Pre-arrange logistics contracts • Basic Contractual Instruments (5 in place, more to follow) as interim solution • Secure funding for mission critical assured access contracts • - Facilitate early integration of contractors through Early Contracting Authority • - Link NAMSA’s existing capabilities to operations • - Complement support through Operational Logistics Support Partnership (OLSP) Antonios Chatzidakis/NAMSA General Manager

Operational Logistics Support Partnership (OLSP) Concept ILS solution tailored to mission Transition of requirements to contract execution Pre-planned contingency requirements/contracts, e.g., • Real Life Support • Selected class of supply • Camp Facilities • O&M • Transportation Operational ‘Handover’ between planning and execution with respective NAMSA support programme(s) NAMSA on-site IPT deploys and supports National Logistics C2 with reach-back • Leverages NAMSA’s functional/programme capabilities • Draws on existing NAMSA Planning Cell capabilities supporting SHAPE/NRF • Operates under a structured NAMSO Partnership framework • Several nations with intent to form the OLSP Partnership by 1 July 09 Planning Preparation Execution Antonios Chatzidakis/NAMSA General Manager
