  9. Step 1:Setting up your ISN 1 – On the front list the following information: First & Last Name Science - Ms. Berg Class Period & 2013 - 2014 2 – Personalize the front with pictures, color or writings. Be creative, but appropriate! John Doe Science- Ms. Berg 1stPeriod 2013-2014

  10. 1st SEMESTER SCIENCE STANDARDS Step 2: Sixth Grade Science Standards – 1st Semester • Use a glue stick to paste the “1st Semester Science Standards” sheet to the back of the front cover of the notebook. • This is where you will keep track of your own mastery of the 6th grade science standards for the 1st semester.

  11. Step 3: 1ndpage - All About Me On back of the science page – write or draw information about yourself, what you did this summer, what you hope to do this year, what your hobbies are, what your plans are for the future.

  12. Step 4: 2stpage – All About Science • Write or draw what you like about science. You can draw pictures of your favorite experiment or write about your favorite science topics. • This year we will study: energy, magnets and electricity, motors and generators, work and simple machines, Earth’s weather and atmosphere, plants and animals.

  14. Step 6 Begin numbering on the bottom right hand side of the next right hand page with the number 2. You will continue numbering only the even numbers. (2,4,6,8…) (Do not worry about numbering the back of the pages) ODDS EVENS 2

  15. MY SCIENCE GRADES Use a glue stick to paste the “My Science Grade” tally sheet to the back of the back cover of the notebook. This is where you will keep track of your own grades for the nine weeks.

Do’s and Don’ts • MUSTbe brought to class EVERYDAY!!! • Be Colorful, neat, creative & LOVEyour ISN! • DO NOT rip, tear or cut pages out of ISN!! • All handouts must be glued, taped or stapled in ISN • Your ISN is Only to be used for SCIENCE CLASS • MUSTbe brought to class EVERYDAY!!!
