The Reality of Discernment 7 steps in apologising for a valid criticism • Address everybody involved • Avoid the words – “if” “but” and “maybe” • These are confession stoppers • Admit specifically both attitudes and actions. • Don’t confess every sin but enough details to demonstrate sincerity • 4.Accept the consequences • 5. The Scriptures teach that every complaint must be proven true by two or more witnesses. If the follower refuses to listen to them, report the matter to the church.
