Unsuccessful trial to integrate public transport in twin cities Nova Gorica and Gorizia

Discover the unsuccessful attempt to integrate public transportation in Nova Gorica and Gorizia, primarily motivated by cross-border commuting. Despite legal obstacles and EU regulations on cabotage, the potential for an international bus line exists. Exploring the historical background and short-term solutions, proposals include interchanges at railway stations, new bus lines, and a citywide network. While post-TRADOMO activities remain unrealized due to lack of political will, there is potential for joint Slovenian-Italian initiatives and innovative ideas for sustainable mobility in the region.
