  2. 2006 Senior Olympics Facts • First Senior Olympics was held in 1980, 10 events with 67 adults. • CRC has hosted since 1992 • In 2006 we offered 18 sports with 66 events • 700 athletes registered in 2006 • 123 new athletes registered this year. • Increase in Women’s participation • Added Flying Pig Marathon-Racewalking • Increase in cycling, race walking, and swimming

  3. Senior Olympics is a celebration of health & success Encourages & promotes healthy lifestyles Competitive goal to challenge themselves Volunteer opportunities Oldest contestant is 99 years old and still going strong Luella will turn 100 in July 2006
