  1. Reasons to Believepart 1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.Genesis 1:1

The Bible affirms a 6 Day creation by God • Day (יֹ֥ום) + first, second, etc. = 24 hours or less • Ex 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

  3. Exodus 31:15-17 • For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day must be put to death. The Israelites are to observe the Sabbath, celebrating it for the generations to come.…

  4. Exodus 31:15-17 • …as a lasting covenant. It will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever, for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day he abstained from work and rested.’

  7. Jesus is the Creator • John 1:2-3 He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

  8. Jesus is the Creator • Heb 1:2-3 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom he made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.

  10. III. Death is the result of Sin • Rom 5:12-13Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned—for before the law was given, sin was in the world. • See Genesis 3

  11. Death is the result of Sin • Rom 5:14 Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come. (Rom 5:17-19)

Death is the result of Sin • Rom 5:17-19 For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God’s abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ! • Consequently, just as one trespass resulted in condemnation...

  13. Death is the result of Sin • …for all people, so also one righteous act resulted in justification and life for all people. 19 For just as through the disobedience of the oneman the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous.

Human Population reflects a young earth • The Bible says that around 2500 BC (4,500 years ago) the worldwide Flood reduced the world’s population to eight people. • The population doubles every 150 years, so 4,500 years is more than enough time to reach the present population of 6.5 billion.
