Exams and Quizzes Assessment • All exam questions will be based on the PowerPoints and on your required reading. • There will be quizzes – based on the weekly reading and lectures • You will also be graded on your participation in class or online. • Everyone is expected to participate in a group presentation. • There will be short homework assignments.
Syllabus Plagiarism All students are expected to do all of their own work. The universities plagiarism and cheating policies are in effect. If a student is caught plagiarizing, he or she will be given a 0% on that assignment and will not be permitted to retake the assignment.
Syllabus Plagiarism Plagiarism occurs when a writer copies another writer's language or ideas and then calls the work his or her own. You will get a zero for plagiarism. Cheating Cheating = using anything to get the answer besides your own memory. Also, telling your friend the answer is cheating. You will get a zero.

Syllabus Weekly Schedule Schedule Notes: * October 1-7 is a National Holiday. Classes on Thursday, Oct. 4 are moved to Saturday, Sept. 29. ** Thursday, Nov. 22 is American Thanksgiving. No Class *** Week 17 will have 4 class days from Wednesday to Saturday due to the Christmas holiday. **** Final Exams will be administered from Wednesday to Friday due to the New Year’s holiday.
Syllabus • Requirements: • Attendance is required for all class periods. An unexcused absence will result in a deduction of 2 points from the final grade; an excused absence will result in a deduction of 1 point from the final grade (an official excuse note must be provided). Any student missing 1/3 or more of the class hours will be disqualified according to university policy. • Classroom behavior: No electronic devices (phones, mp3s, etc.) permitted. Students are expected to be attentive during instruction and engaged during skill development activities. • Required Reading: Prior to each class period, students are expected to read a section of text. • Students are expected to come to class prepared to participate in class discussions and class assignments.
