  6. APT TESTS AFCT (in-service ASVAB) All Service Members • Why: to improve GT scores • When: every Tuesday at 0930 • Required: DA form 4187, ID and achieve 110 or above on GT predictor. GT Predictor (required before taking AFCT) All Service Members • Why: Must achieve 110 or above on this practice exam to be allowed to take the AFCT • When: Every Monday 0930 • Required: Only ID is needed AFAST (Alternate Flight Aptitude Selection Test)All Service Members • Why: for individuals who would like to pursue an aviation MOS • When: Every Wednesday 0930 BMST (Basic Math and Science test) All Service members • Why: For individuals pursuing Prime Power Production MOS’ TABE A: For individuals changing MOS and requiring current aptitude scores TABE D:For individuals enrolled in FAST class Preparation: www.petersons.com/army code: AL9000 or Army: sign out study material at the computer Lab; Air Force: Camp Cunningham (LRC)

COLLEGE ENTRANCE EXAMS • ACT • Offered once a month • Duration 4 hours • English, Reading, Math, and Science • No Essay • Content-based test (measures general knowledge) • SAT • Offered once a month • Duration 4 hours • Verbal, Math, Writing • Essay • Reasoning test (measures problem-solving and critical thinking abilities) Service member may take one DANTES-funded college entrance exam.

Certification Exams • ASE: Automotive Services Exam (Offered only on certain dates) • Proctored College Exams • Both online and paper-based • Other Exams • LSAT: Entrance exam for graduate law studies • PRAXIS: Teacher licensing and certification exam • GED: General Educational Development (High school equivalency) exam • GRE (General): Graduate Record Examination
