  18. Positive Effects of Fashion • Have many types of clothing for all body types in men and women. • Women have the more choices in clothing because they can hide their flaws such as flabby thighs, or small chest , or non-curves. • People take you more seriously from social events to employment.

  19. Negative Effects of Fashion • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omBfg3UwkYM • Has lowered the self-esteem of millions of teens all over the world. • Bullying is usually associated if one is not fit with the social status. • People are pressured to grow up faster.

  20. Obituary On February 9th in 2013, a high school student by the name of Nancy Ford killed herself in the school bathroom after being constantly picked on. She was a bright student, making A’s in all her classes. One of her teacher’s noticed that her grade was slipping and that she wasn’t showing up to class as much. Students all around the school noticed she was being picked on from her clothes to her face and no one did anything about it. After she killed herself on school grounds, everyone took bullying seriously. Her funeral service will be held next Friday in Michigan. The moral of the story is to take action before it’s too late.

  21. Love Yourself Love Yourself is a social event that is held annually created by the parents of Nancy Ford to those who were victims of bullying. Everyone comes together to talk about their stories, meet others just like them and discuss how they conquered their fears.

  34. (Fad) Fat Diets. By: Michael Gale A pound, a pound, for too much bounce...How may I justly, do denounce? Regret thy ways, that hath ye over eaten...Always round and sadly beaten.Let the fries, do settle down...Create a waist line's, smiley frown.Upon the scale, that lied to me...Let me be, just let me be.In denial, of hated weight...When will it recede, and hesitate? Be the pounds that never go...Always cursed, to always show.Diets come, and diets go...When ever, will we, better, know? Sugar this, and sweeten that...I guess, I'll always, be simply, fat.Recipes all, assorted out...Never do they help, they only, make me shout.I pull my hair, from Dawn till night...An evil imaged, in mirrored fright.Do you know that it ain't too easy? ...To lose this weight, makes me sick, and queezy.Did you know, that fat...Ain't where it's at?

  35. Media Portrays Unrealistic Figures • Viewer’s exposed to media have a false perception and goal of what women are supposed to look like. • Women who watch these advertisements are receiving the message that being beautiful means being unhealthy. • This pushes women to lose more weight than is considered healthy, increasing their chances of developing eating disorders (Serdar).

  36. Breaking News • Just in, a student was just admitted into the hospital with broken ribs and multiple lacerations after being beaten by his classmates this afternoon. He is currently in critical conditions in the Intensive Care Unit.
