  2. If you have never used a panel beating before, you may be wondering about the steps they will take to repair your vehicle. Read on to find out everything you need to know.

  3. Assessing the damage The repair shop should be able to arrange to visit your vehicle where it is currently parked before arranging for it to be towed into the shop if you agree to the work. Once the assessment is completed, you will be offered a quote.

  4. Stripping down the body work Once the car is in the garage, the team will start by stripping down the body work around the damaged area. They may need to use some force to remove bent or twisted panels.

  5. Repairing and replacing Each panel will then be assessed. If possible, the panel will be repaired using hammers which can be used to knock the metal back into shape.

  6. Reapplying the finish With repairs completed, the team will apply an undercoat to the vehicle before applying matching paint to the repaired areas. The car will then be driven into a large industrial oven which dries out the paint and produces a professional finish.
