  2. Successful Meeting! The meeting continued with the usual HEPiX tracks Focus on IT Infrastructure 99 attendees, from 15 countries

  3. IPv6 Working Group World IPv6 Day June 6, 2012 IPv6 will be left on, unlike last year’s 24-hour test day What does “IPv6 tested” really mean? Work in progress with sites’ testbed activities January 2014 - earliest production of IPv6-only systems Lots to do!! Membership/voluneers open

  4. Virtualisation • Policies established to allow the exchange of VM images • Progress in delivering a distributed catalogue of endorsed images • VM exchange remains interesting common environment across sites • Almost delivered what was expected • Focus now on involving experiments through GDB • Continue discussions at CHEP WLCG workshop?

  5. Storage • Renew storage assessment at sites via questionnaire • Repeat testing with latest versions of 3 main solutions • LUSTRE, xrootd, NFS 4.x • Testbed at FZK updated recently • Evaluate new technologies, like RAIN , Glusterfs, etc

  6. Benchmarking • Waiting for SPEC12 before restarting the WG activity • Background activity continuing

  7. HEPiX Board • European Cochair • HelgeMeinhard elected • Thanks to Michel for past 5 years! • Addition • IN2P3 - Gilles Mathieu • Cochair election process revisited • 1 vote per site • Winner to have clear majority • Summary paragraphs from nominees • Revisit 3 year terms, renewable for 1 term only

  8. Fall 2012 Meeting IHEP, Beijing Organizer: Gang Chen October 15-19 Initial web site by the end of May

  9. Next Meetings • Spring 2013: CNAF • Possible dates to be proposed by site • Fall 2013: UMich offering • Details at Beijing Proposal for hosting future meetings are always welcome
