    1. P-RNAV AIRCRAFT CAPABILITY AND OPERATOR STATUS

    2. P-RNAV AIRCRAFT CAPABILITY The majority of Aircraft operating today in the 20 busiest airports in ECAC airspace have P-RNAV Capability and meet JAA TGL-10 criteria (400 airframes operated by 22 Operators presently hold a P-RNAV Approval). Remaining aircraft operating to these same airports are generally modifiable and could meet TGL-10 requirements.

    3. P-RNAV CHECKLIST (1) Can my aircraft comply to P-RNAV requirements? 1. Check Compliance Statement is contained in Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) or available from Original equipment Manufacturer (OEM). N.B. Should be available at no cost to Operator. 2. Check FMC/P-RNAV Computer has sufficient capacity for additional P-RNAV Data and check Magnetic Tables are current.

    6. P-RNAV APPROVAL STATUS Derived from information dated 2 September 2003

    7. AFN USER SUPPORT CELL DATABASE PURPOSE To provide a picture of relevant data to support and more efficiently manage EUROCONTROL AFN initiatives. PREVIOUS APPLICATION IN: B-RNAV implementation RVSM programme

    8. AIRCRAFT GROUPS AIRCRAFT P-RNAV CAPABLE EX-FACTORY and where the Manufacturer has issued a statement of compliance to TGL-10 or equivalent requirements AIRCRAFT CAPABLE OF MODIFICATION TO MEET TGL-10 OR EQUIVALENT AIRCRAFT CONSIDERED NOT TO BE MODIFIABLE (very small %)

    9. The following slides depict Group 1 aircraft (Boeing/ Airbus/Embraer) operating in ECAC Airspace over the busiest week so far this year. The slides also depict airframes ASSESSED by the USC as Group 1 but still awaiting a statement of compliance from the Manufacturer (e.g. Canadair, Bombardier, Fokker etc.). AIRCRAFT GROUPS (contd)

    12. The following slides depict the aircraft groups operating out of the 20 busiest airports in ECAC airspace this year. The numbers of Group 3 aircraft operating at these airports are extremely low and are not included in the percentages. AIRCRAFT GROUPS (contd)

    15. The majority of Aircraft operating IFR in ECAC airspace are P-RNAV capable. Many operators are waiting for their State of Registry to implement an Approval process. All the Operators with over 500 flights per day in ECAC airspace are presently working on obtaining P-RNAV Approval CONCLUSIONS

    16. Will provide support to the introduction of P-RNAV in European Airspace particularly as regards to Certification and Approval Issues. In addition to material provided at P-RNAV workshop, the User Support Cell is in the process of preparing a comprehensive Awareness Package (including CD ROM) for distribution early in 2004 .
