Senior Project Requirements • Must be three tier--client, mid tier, dbase • As part of the first requirement...must use some method of remoting • As part of the first requirement...client should not directly access the dbase • Dbase cannot be access...sqlserver, oracle, mysql, etc • Must have a C++ component (I am dropping this) • Must use XML somewhere • Intermediate demos may demonstrate remoting on the same machine, final demo must demonstrate remoting across machines or across virtual machines. (use of virtual machines, such as vmware, makes things much easier but it’s not a requirement. • Final demo must also include an install disk. Deployment of distributed systems is actually a big topic all by itself. • Final presentation must be a poster presentation.
