Advantages • Seamless transition without halting business processes • "Best of Breed" • Possibility for permanent development • Creating of integrated information environment • Openness to SOA and SaaS ideas

Difficulties • Need for a new view at the existing system, adequate to the transition process • Transition gives a chance for reengineering of business process – not to miss it • Transition in complex with implementation…

Results of the Pilot • It works! • Transparent integration was realised • The integration required minor changes in the programme code of the e-Med system • A prototype of "transition protocol"
