Types of School Direct: School Direct Training Programme Trainees eligible for a student loan to cover tuition fees Eligible for a bursary depending on degree classification and subject School Direct Training Programme (salaried) Trainee is employed as an unqualified teacher For trainees with at least 3 years work experience Schools receive a grant towards salary and costs towards achieving qualified teacher status

Strengthening Partnerships Joint recruitment processes Negotiated training programme - school led training embedded in all modules Training led by expert practitioners with opportunities to observe practice or to try themselves afterwards Subject specific support Unique training within partnerships such as SEN/PRU provision Bespoke induction programmes at the start of the training year and before NQT Personalised training plans, tracking and assessment processes Mentor training and support Quality assurance M level support for NQT year

School Direct Funding2014-15 PGCE Includes 60 days of University support 60 M level credits Tuition fees (£8250) shared between University and the school Up to £3250 to support school led training per trainee QTS only To support School Direct Salaried Includes at least 10 days of University support including tutor visits Extra support can be negotiated Assessment for the recommendation for QTS Cost to school approx. £1500 60 M credits for QTS only trainees Two 30 credit modules (PGCert Education) £1440
